Is it possible for the host to request a security deposit?

Hosts may request a security deposit, but this is not processed through travelstaytion. Any deposit arrangement is handled directly between you and the host.

As long as there is no damage during your stay, the security deposit will be fully refunded. If a security deposit is required, it will be clearly stated on the property page and in your reservation confirmation, so you know exactly what you need to pay.
